Social media is making it easier for us to stay connected with the world. No doubt it is the simplest and fastest way to get in touch with friends and assure that you share all the important information that you want your friends to know. However, at the same time, social media is wasting our time. We spend more time on social media apps due to which we are unable to focus on given tasks and complete our products.

By getting more social media likes people feel like it is real world and they get disconnected from life. Here we simple ways which you can use to disconnect from social media and connect with life again.

Stop using gadgets 1 hours before going to sleep

A common mistake we all make is that we keep using our phones before going to sleep. This is the reason we are unable to sleep on time which leads to tiredness in the morning. The first change you have to bring in your life is to stop using the gadgets at least 1 hour before going to sleep. It will allow you to have a peaceful sleep and you will not have to worry about what is happening online.

Keep your phone away

One of the most important things you can do is keep your phone away. There are many people who keep using their phones even while they are working. That is why they are unable to concentrate on work. The best solution for this problem is to keep your phone in the drawer. Let everyone know that you will not be taking any calls to assure that they will not disturb you. You will notice that it will enhance your performance and you will be able to complete the work in limited.

Turn off push notifications

When you are planning to go to sleep, it is important that you turn off your push notifications to assure that your phone will not make any noises while you are sleeping. The reason is that when there comes a message, you will feel the urge to check it. This is the reason you will not be able to sleep properly. Once you switch off the push notification, you will not have to deal with any issues related to the continuous disturbance.

Use only one device for checking your social media

The advancement in technology has made it possible to use social media on any device that you have. Whether you have a desktop, laptop, smartphone or smart watch. It may be good for the social media app developers, but for you, it is not good. That is why you should only use a single device for using social media apps. It will allow you to reduce the time you spend on social media. You will be able to pay more attention to people who are actually around you.

In the present age, you may not notice that how you are ignoring some of the most important moments of your life. However, once you get older, you will not get the time again, and you will not have any real people around you. That is why it is important that you start paying attention to what is important in your life. No doubt using social media is important, but you should not let you take over your life. Assure that you manage your time professionally and only spend limited time on social media. It will allow you to enjoy your time once again with people who are important.
