We must be willing to talk about the hard subjects! Be a voice for the voiceless! Be a light into the darkness! Not just in October but all year! This epidemic is all over the world.
We as a collective must speak up and take action to stop it. We must stop blaming and shaming the victims and start making the abusers accountable for their actions. We must have stronger laws. But more importantly we must have a compassionate and caring law enforcement agency to enforce these laws and protect the victims.
It has to start with each of us. Personally choosing to make a difference! To be willing to step up and change the local community and to be engaged and up to date on all that is happening. If we speak up and stand up, we can make changes! We can start with our local area and move out! But it starts with people being willing to speak up and change things.
Change is not always easy and sometimes it is painful. But it is necessary! And this is an important issue! So get educated and then get active! Reach out to your local agencies, police department, politicians, representatives and senators! Find out their stand on this issue! And make sure you are being represented!
