Have you ever felt calmed down just after seeing something unexpected? If yes, then you too have experienced the magic of sight. What eyes and perception can do to your mind, mood, health and your life. Though all the senses are important and loss of even one for even a few minutes can make one feel powerless and incapable. We have noses to breathe and to enjoy pleasant smells and to differentiate the smells which we should stay away from (like a leaking gas pipe), ears to hear and to help maintain the balance, you didn’t know that? Well now you do. Skin to sense touch and also to protect our body. So in short we can say that all the senses that we have, perform multiple functions. But what do eyes do? We know that we can see from them but what else? It turns out that those delicate balls of wonder are really amazing. Many articles can be written with just your eyes. There is just so much information. Like

1.You wanna project emotions while hiding most of your face, eyes will do the job.
2.You wanna ease tension, tears are here to carry it out for you while also cleaning your eyes.
3.Do you know that you can even see UV light? The lens in our eyes filters it out, so if the lens is removed, you can see things which other humans can’t. Like in this picture, for example.

Right side of the image is what we can see from the normal human eye. Left side is what is seen in UV light. The difference is amazing, right? Bats, bees, etc are some of the animals which can see in UV light and don’t have a filter in their eyes like we do. Hence, they are capable of easily detecting pollen.

So in short, eyes are wonderful and a lot can be said just on this topic. And as a sweet aroma can kick out bad thoughts, the same and with more intensity, can be achieved by calming images. If you are into nature photography you will know what I am talking about. Most of the travellers, explorers and discoverers are on the hunt, because they enjoy what eyes has to offer to them. Images can have a powerful effect on the mind of a person. Gory images can scare and depress a happy man and vice versa. Don’t worry, we won’t be talking about anything gory here. Only images that are soothing and are easy on eyes and mind. Have a look.

Pictures to Calm You
1. Forest in Serbia

Take some deep breaths, from here on out you will be watching some of the excellent images taken by professional photographers. Forests in Serbia is one such image.
Though we now live in high rise and lavish apartments, we should not forget our roots in nature and where we came from.

2.Beachside, US

Imagine yourself sitting on a beach shore and the cold waves splashing on your feet, the wind cuddling with your face and the smiling faces all around you.
3.Snowdonia National Park, UK

If you still haven’t been on a long trek, I highly recommend you to do it. The call of the mountains is not something made up by a travel company. You will know it once you experience it.
4. Antelope Canyon, US

The walls and the pathway of the canyon is decorated with the beautiful patterns created by nature. If you are not convinced by its beauty, have a second look.

5.Deep into Woods

The smell of forest is something different. If you are imagining it to be stinking, then you are highly mistaken. Some parts may be so due to some reasons, but the sweet aroma that one experiences between the canopy of trees is soothing and greatly relaxing.

6.Silhouette of Clouds

There is something about the sun, something mesmerizing. Though we cannot see it with naked eyes most of the day, when we do (at sunrise and at sunset), it always looks so appealing and captivating
7. Sosun Magu, Maldives

Maldives is famous for its scenic beauty and as a tourist destination. This Indian territory needs no introduction. The popularity says it all. But what makes it more attractive? It is not populated. If you want alone time, without disturbance, go ahead.
8.Auroras, Norway

Just like Maldives, Auroras need no introduction. These beautiful patterns created by solar particles are quite a rare sight on earth. Northern light attracts tourists from all over the world and can be seen easily in Norway.

Even most of the powerful cameras are not able to fully capture the beauty of these Nature’s wonder.
So these were some of the calming images that I wanted to share with you. There have been many researches conducted on effects on calming photos on brain and emotions. And it has been found that it does help in decreasing stress, tension, anxiety, depression. Though if you know a person who has a severe case of any of these disorders then it is highly advised that you seek professional help. But these and such images are perfect to calm down nerves and prepare you for your Monday again.
Hope it helps.
