Jordan Mangan is a social media influencer with over 100,000 fans on different platforms. He has recently become an overnight sensation on Tiktok, a platform with over 1 billion users on. All the while, he has been able to accomplish this as a 16-year old. I have interviewed him and asked him multiple questions about his journey that can be useful in your own life.

His Debut

Question 1: How did you start creating content?

I started created content from when I first got social media. I didn’t start getting big until I put in a lot of time and effort into my posts. Perseverance is a necessity when you are trying to accomplish a goal. Failure was a wake-up call for me. Whenever I failed, I reflected on what I did wrong and figured out what I needed to improve on.

Overcoming Burnout

Question 2: Did you ever feel burnout, and how did you handle it?

Working extremely hard and persevering through difficult situations can leave you feeling tired and “burnout.” Therefore, I overcame that feeling of tiredness by taking a break, going for a walk to enjoy nature, listening to music, drawing, and running. They all helped me maintain good mental health. As people, we have to understand that working to the point of excess can cause everlasting effects on your body. Work hard, but leave room for resting time.

Stress

Question 3: Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the stresses of being an influencer?

Yes, of course, being an influencer comes with stress. Personally, working out helps me deal with it. Keeping a healthy workout and eating routine can help deal with the pressures of social media. Sometimes you feel the need to post every day to keep your fans happy, but in reality, we are all people that need breaks. Start your day off with something that you enjoy, which will set you to be happy for the rest of the day.
