Singing relax your mind from anxious thoughts

My experience

There are situations in life which may destabilize one’s mind. It could be a situation that causes sudden anxiety. These scenarios call for psycho-motor counteraction to stabilize the mind.

For me, when I am caught in such situation, I instinctive start rolling my wedding ring. Where situations permit, I can also hum/sing some melodies. I usually have a lot of melodic repertoires already in my mind which come in handy such times. This combination has always enabled my mind to relax from the anxious thoughts.
