Sanicle.shop, a menstruation tech start-up, through their innovative solutions and products which are the ‘Organic Period Box’, ‘Period Passport’ and ‘Period Genie Game’ aims to de-stigmatize menstruation for all genders and solve issues with single dads, teenage daughters, and the vast populace suffering from period poverty.
Sanicle’s products are all 100% organic. Providing subscription-based products consumers can feel good about using because it’s organic, woman and man-owned, and gives back to the community is a common motivator for the founders of these products such as the period boxes.
Period boxes, almost all developed by women-led companies, are personal and customizable. Their products, usually sanitary pads, panty liners, feminine hygiene wipes, single-use tissues, hand sanitizers, bamboo toothbrushes, comfy socks, chocolates, tea mix for cramps, and more are necessary for a comfortable period and their brands have helped create a conversation around what some consider taboo subjects.
The Period Genie game is primarily geared towards prepubescent young people, but it can offer an educational experience for anyone who decides they could learn a little more about the body.
The ‘Period Passport: Conquering Period Poverty’, a new book by authors and advocates Chaste Christopher Inegbedion and Yetunde Oluwafunmilayo Tola, is a quintessential self-help guide written to help understand all there is to know about periods. It also addresses how, with a greater emphasis on education, the society could soon eradicate the many financial barriers, stigma, and poor education around menstrual cycles otherwise known as Period Poverty.

The Trio became interested in building a business in the menstruation space. Chaste was first motivated by his international humanitarian experiences working with girls, while Roxanne was driven by her frustrating period experiences, whereas Tosin wanted to build the technology that helps serve Single Dads and their teenage daughters.
Chaste Inegbedion in a discussion with the Nigeria Professional Group about his book, Period Passport; Period Box and Period Genie, during a short visit to Boston to meet the executives at the District Hall where they plan to hold their 2021 Gala & Awards in December. The author also shared the preparedness of his attendance at a conference on women’s health hosted by the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Southern Utah University. He spoke about Cristina Garcia as one of the change makers in the Period space in the debut book; and when asked about what drove him in pushing issues on menstruation for women, he said, “Menstruation is an important phase in every woman’s life, which signals growth and biophysical maturity. Unfortunately, minimal attention is paid to this aspect of women’s life. Rather, menstruation is a cause for negative societal reactions that tend to reduce women’s self-esteem.”
