Rose Colored Glasses

I like my glasses, my rose coloured glasses

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.

I like my glasses

My rose coloured glasses

The ones that help me see

See things in a beautiful way

Allowing me to trust

Trust the world

And those around me

Me and my adventures

Adventures which span across time

Time well spent

Spent in transit

Transit to other places

Places of hope and love

Love helps us thrive

Thrive in a world made to crush you

You see how the world is right?

Right and wrong don’t even exist

Exist only in the minds of others

Others see life in a certain way

Way too blue

Blue is not rose

Rose is what I want

Want to see

See things through

Through my rose coloured glasses

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
