ALWAYS STRIVE FOR PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION

They say that there is no such thing as perfect. There is the need to strive for progress, not perfection. We sometimes perceive this as a very melodramatic line, but it’s true. At some point in our lives, we find ourselves running after something that is not even real. We forget to cherish our own progresses and achievements, no matter how big or small.

Rocky Lee is the founder of “Million dollar Record” had grossed more than a million in a relatively short time in comparison to other record label. In NYC Rocky Lee is a name, known by every hip-hip enthusiast and all of these, he achieved on his own. Pursuing a career in music was not something Rocky Lee decided randomly. Rocky Lee was always enthusiastic about Hip-Hop scene of NYC. He was brilliant in studies and finished major in culinary arts and pastry. Although academically brilliant, Rocky Lee’s love for music led him to start his career as a DJ.

As a DJ Rocky Lee made many big connections and quickly rose to fame. He was one of the hottest DJ in NYC at the time and although things were working out very well for Rocky Lee, his goal was to be much bigger than that. He also saw many talented artists struggling just because they don’t get any chance to show their talents. Most of the record labels avoid giving chance to the new artist as there is always a risk of falling on it. On the other hand, Million dollar record label is specifically for finding and nurturing new musical talents. There are many talented musicians in NYC but their music composition is often needed more refining and a touch of professionals. These things can be provided by only record labels. This is why many talented artists never make it in the mainstream; some who get success are also quickly fade away.

Why are some people more successful than others? Leaving aside luck, which equates to confessing that we don’t really know, there are really just two explanations: talent and effort. Talent concerns the abilities, skills and expertise that determine what a person can do. Effort concerns the degree to which the person deploys talents.

Million Dollar Manager Rocky Lee has a keen eye to identify the talents who have the potential to go big. According to Rocky Lee, his team is always looking for fresh talents. This is overall good for the music industry too. More new artist means there will be more competition and we can have a better and more diverse quality of music out there. This is essentially what drives innovation in music. This how it worked out in past and would definitely work in future too.
