Rising, Let’s Shine

A Reminder We Can Start aNew, Each Day, Every Day

that time I didn’t hit the snooze button

Do I bore you-

With this talk of morning?

Does it get old-

To see colors bounce in the sky?

Do you yawn at the thought of the promise of expansion with each new day?

Do you walk in awareness that you have a choice each morning to live a new life as I do?

For we could sleep our weary heads away, promising ourselves that tomorrow we will embrace the new day

We could roll over with rejection of her early bright rays of light

that slither through the heavy curtain,

reminding us that today is the day we can make things right;

to start fresh-

bathing in the joys of the memories of our night.

We could choose to lay our heads through many a snooze button,

buried in our pillows,

Monkey brains waking up suddenly;

filling our heads with noises of “I should”, “I need”, “I can’t”, and “I want”.

We could allow ourselves to be haunted by yesteryear

We could hide from morning, sleeping in futures and pasts

inviting stress in and piling on tasks

We could choose to begin our mornings in complete distraught contrast

So Do I bore you-

With this talk of morning?

Does it get old-

To see colors bounce in the sky?

Do you yawn at the thought of the promise of expansion with each new day?

Because listen…

truly listen…

When we are awakened to the early dawn with hopes and dreams we can carry on

With birds chirping and insects buzzing and a show-stopping sunrise that leaves our hearts thumping

Our hearts can be abundant

filled with many joys

We can choose our creative effort

To me the alphabet is today’s toy

This morning

With this picturesque vision of dawn

We embrace the day

We mindfully carry on

We have chosen to touch the sky with our hearts

Learning again

Learning to start

Moving with presence,

Seizing the day,

Moving through any emotions that get in our way

Aligning our authenticity with the universe

Walking in fierce truth

I repeat myself

To remind you and me

The sun wants us to wake

She wants us to see

How amazing we can feel

When we allow ourselves to be

Each day we have the miracle of life

Chance to start anew,

to push our refresh button,

to begin again.

To love each other and ourselves with such fierceness it cannot be numbed or denied.

We have the chance to set intentions, walk in manifestations of beauty,

and rise again.

Each morning we are welcomed to punch the clock with prayer and meditation,

with words and imagination,

with intent and affirmations,

Walking in noise-reducing clearheaded relaxation

Giving ourselves a simplicity donation

for today

sending anxiety on a vacation,

led by iridescent light for the duration

So do I bore you-

With this talk of morning?

Does it get old-

To see colors bounce in the sky?

Do you yawn at the thought

Of the promise of expansion with each new day?

Or will you walk with me?

Showing up for our exploring –

Trusting our adventures will be rewarding

Holding space the universe will be supporting

Waking up together in presence will be completely awarding

As we open our eyes with intent in the morning.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
