From Relationship to Elationship …

remaining open to unexpected bliss

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.

I love words.

I love offering inspired glimpses about our complex and troubled Human Nature through them, or reading others’ insights in kind.

Relationship with Other is difficult. Still more so with Self. And sometimes the language of the heart becomes hard when the brainy world of words usurps emotion.

At a blustery media moment when the Hollywood as well as political and social animal undergo necessary breakdown, perhaps it’s up to the animal kingdom, (thank you Penny Patterson and dear Koko) to speak louder than any words, and penetrate our global soul with timeless relevance that reveals an uncommon basis for relationship  … a primal one … a primate one … and one of “elationship”.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
