Wedding planning is both an exciting and stressful time. There are so many things to consider that it can be a daunting task to make your expectations a reality. But, with ample planning and informed decision making, I assure you that your day can be just as magical as you hope it will be. If you are considering a Sydney Harbour Cruise, know that it is a beautiful location to have a wedding and there are a few key things to keep in mind when planning a wedding there.

Discuss it with your spouse. You are not the only person getting married. You should make sure that you and your spouse are on the same page about wanting to have a wedding on a Sydney Harbour cruise. Is it something you can afford? Are there other locations either of you have considered? These are all questions you need to ask before jumping into this decision.

Discuss it with your guests. While a Sydney Harbour Cruise may be beautiful and be something that both you and your future spouse want, you also have to consider your guests. It is ultimately your special day, but you want your guests to be there with you and to enjoy experiencing your union. If your guests will be unable to attend or you know they will not have a comfortable time on the water, you have to take this into consideration. If getting married on a cruise is more important than them being there, then you have to make that call.

Know your budget. Weddings are expensive and there is no getting around that. You might not be able to afford a wedding cruise. If this is the case maybe you should consider a different location. Or perhaps you should make cuts in other areas of your budget in order to make room for this location. To make your budget work you need to know how to prioritize. Make sure that the things most important to you will be done and then make cuts in the areas that are less important to you.

Plan accordingly. In any location you get married in, you will need to know your plans inside and out. You need to know what boat you are getting on and what time. You need to know timelines and how the seating will be arranged. The best way to figure out these things is the call the cruise company and get these details as soon as possible. The sooner you know, the sooner you can memorize these plans and the sooner you can relay them to your guests.

Enjoy! Lastly, and most importantly, you should enjoy your wedding and the entire planning process. This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life and wherever you choose to begin it, remember to savour every moment.
