Today we dive into our mindset of sharing our past and how it is holding back
Fiction-> No One Cares About Your Experiences
Fake News-> Your Past Is Worthless
Facts-> You have gifts and experiences to share that will make the world a better place.
As I traveled to 36 states in the month of February, there was one common trend in every city: lack of belief in one’s prior failures being able to help others. It makes sense. In our society today, we glorify our best moments on social media and can’t stop gratifying ourselves with our accomplishments of checking the next box. But the reality is that we can learn so much more from failures and there is so much untapped fulfillment from failure.
Being vulnerable about our past and sharing our failures are essential in order to prevent more suffering and division. Because we hide our mistakes to ourselves, countless other people who are suffering in our past shoes will not be properly educated and will make the same mistakes we made that could have been avoided. If you know something or have an experience, PLEASE SHARE with anyone so that they can get it to the person who is suffering that needs it the most. This allows three things:
It’s like a gratifying paycheck of giving to help someone else with no consequences. And you sharing your story will not only save that one person from suffering but also plant a seed for the knowledge to be passed down generation after generation!
