Positively Uncomfortable Day 14: Authentic Self Facts

Wake Up Every Day Being Your Authentic Self!

Today I had an epic day with a lad from Australia, an amazing French videographer, and two Canadians at Niagara Falls shooting my book promo and watching the birds fly freely around the most beautiful wintergreen water streams. Here were my key takeaways about the day and they all revolve around what it means to be your authentic self.

The birds were completely flying freely around all the noise of the falls. They are completely at peace watching the beauty of their surroundings but they have created boundaries within themselves that allow them to distance themselves from anything holding them back to remain at constant present moment peace.

It is important to create boundaries within your foundational mantras in order to block the noise allowing you to drift away from becoming the best possible version of your authentic self every day.

You have worked so hard to get to this point. You have the power to change this. You deserve a life everyday where you can wake up being yourself and believing in yourself

I used to think being the best possible version of myself was to help other people achieve their full potential. However, I realized that was making me please other people and making others into someone who they were not. This made me inauthentic and wasted my valuable energy. The big shift was realizing that I can’t help and please everyone, but I can surround myself with brightness and still be the best version of being myself every day, mentally and physically healthy, learning and growing with no regrets. Enjoy today spreading love and surrounding yourself with brightness!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
