The struggles for breastfeeding women have become more prominent in the last few years. Feeding your child through traditional methods is almost shunned by the majority of people. God forbad your little one is hungry when you are in the grocery store. How dare you pull your breast out and feed him with the organic milk that has been supplied by your body for that very purpose? The looks you will receive will be similar to that of a vomiting man.

Pope Francis Is Pro Breastfeeding

Pope Francis is not in agreement with the disgusted masses, though. In fact, he has been one of the biggest supporters for breastfeeding women, especially if they need to do it while attending church. Reports indicate Pope Francis during a baptism saying,

“You mothers, go ahead and breast-feed without fear,”

(Vogue Magazine).

If you look at Pope Francis Twitter page, he never makes mention of his statement, as should be expected. His Twitter page is filled with inspiration, appreciation, and celebration of Christ. He is not looking to promote the pro-breastfeeding movement, but, in fact, he has done just that.

Having Pope Francis as an unofficial front man supporting public breastfeeding is a great example for those who despise it. Maybe his strong statement of support will inspire other anti breastfeeding supporters to jump on board the breast milk train. At least, in the Catholic church, a thirsty baby can be breastfed without being chastised for doing so.
