Play to your strengths. Is it another generic expression to describe leadership, or is it the real deal? Many people perceive leaders as someone who has incredible skills, which makes his situation easier. What are the details that we don’t see about leadership? Leaders are the entrepreneurs who use team strategies to create the best company in their industry. Does it mean that they don’t have to deal with obstacles?

Leaders Take The Most Difficult Decisions

Leaders build their strengths by putting themselves into uncomfortable situations. In particular, these entrepreneurs decide to sacrifice an efficient system to change the company paradigm and make exponential progress possible. Even though it may sound abstract at first, there are clearer references to describe it.

When entering a market, the company has to give high-quality service, do it faster, and reduce costs, among other objectives based on efficiency. Managers make sure that all the processes are optimized.

At some point, the system is completely upgraded, reaching a productivity plateau. Then, the leader has two options: reinvent the system or keep doing what they do and wait for competitors to outwork them.

Leaders Are Self-Aware, Improve Continuously, And Focus On The Big Picture

If a leader doesn’t destroy the previous system, the productivity plateau will keep the company stuck until it disappears. It is quite difficult to leave behind a system that brings results to pursue something bigger. As the best world-class leaders know, the best way to reinvent your company is immediately after reaching the maximum efficiency.

Reinvention involves stop producing results and modify all possible variables of the company. Apart from using different systems, entrepreneurs who update their strategies start thinking differently.

It requires having enough perspective to stop hiding behind your strengths and reframe the organization. Depending on the innovation and resources, these processes can complete faster.

Luckily, entrepreneurs who lead their team through this stage end up producing exponential results. Once they have defined the new path, entrepreneurs can restore the order and keep working on the business bringing superior results.

Leaderships are visionaries for this reason. It takes perspective to create a new plan from zero and stay away from short-term prosperity.
