Be the ripple

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres. We publish pieces written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Patience is a practice in trust

Oh there it is again

Something stopping me

But before they said

That action speaks louder than words

But why, then

Is my heart rate slow?

My palms aren’t clammy

And my knees are as still as ever

The only thing rushing

Is the concept of time

But me

I am still. I am calm

Patience is different to waiting

You see

It’s more like being the ripple

Rather than making the ripple

So take time

Sweet one

Be patient

The deep breath

Is eternity

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
