The suction excavator is an advanced technology vehicle, particularly suitable for building construction. It is a vehicle capable of vacuuming any type of material and can make interventions possible in any space. It is able to speed up processing, reducing manual work and with no environmental damage. Furthermore, the suction excavator is able to operate in the absence of spaces and when technical difficulties prevent the use of a normal excavator.

Gear Equip uses latest generation technologies such as the suction excavator with both hydro and air excavation capabilities and transportable mobile suction bagging module for the excavation of underground utilities and for interventions in environments suspected of pollution or inside confined spaces and for industrial cleaning, industrial reclamation, excavations and the restoration of obstructed pipelines.

The machine is able to suck up any type of solid, liquid or muddy material, collecting it immediately in the box. It will then be transported to the place of disposal, thus avoiding the use of other means of work and the dispersion of dust into the environment.

How the Sucking Excavator Works

In the mechanism of the suction excavator there is a fan that generates an air current of up to 44,000 mb / h and produces a maximum underpressure of 55,000 Pa. The material is therefore sucked in by the air current. With this means, all types of solid materials can be vacuumed up to a maximum size of 250 mm.

The position of the collection container of the suction excavator means that the axles of the vehicle are not stressed.

The air that allows the suction of the material then passes into a separate chamber from the collection container where it is cleaned, and the remaining dust is absorbed through filters. Clean air is expelled from above without producing loud noises thanks to sound insulation.

The filters are cleaned instead by means of pneumatic air. During the tipper unloading process, both the collection container and the separate chamber are emptied of any residues.

How the excavator is made

The suction excavator is also used for:

  • Cleaning the silos: performs the descaling and mechanical and forced emptying of their contents, favoring the natural reactivation of all the functions of a silos
  • A natural disaster:  this tool is the only means capable of cleaning both internal and external areas and to safely vacuum the rubble from earthquake sites, on the other hand, cleans the road surface from the mud of floods.
  • Underground excavations:  pre-excavations with the suction excavator are indicated above all in very busy areas such as urban and road spaces, since it limits the space of the construction site to the excavation area only. With this tool you do not damage the utilities because it only removes the surrounding material
  • This technology allows you to pass from the excavation / suction phase to the bagging phase without producing any atmospheric emissions
