Failure is a state of mind, just like success

all the times i failed myself

When I tried to be everything, I failed myself

When I accepted the status quo and conceded to the circumstances, I failed myself

When I settled in a toxic relationship, I failed myself

When I shut my eyes and became oblivion to the truth sitting right beside me, I failed myself

When I let go of the opportunities I knew in my heart were a precious life’s gift and asked life to offer it in more opportune time, I failed myself

When I pretended to be someone else and tried hard to look like a protagonist of a borrowed story, I failed myself

When I refused to raise my voice; silently meekly witnessed an act of cruelty, I failed myself

When I was too ashamed of owing up my own weaknesses and character flaws, I failed myself

When I was too uptight to embarrass myself in farce of feeling empowered, I failed myself

When every bone in my body was screaming in pride to accept a failure, I failed myself

When every time I was chasing perfection, I failed myself

Of all the times I failed myself, I learnt something new about me

Of all the times I failed myself, I grew stronger than before

Of all the times I failed myself, I had hope and music

Of all times I failed myself;I prayed. I prayed to the universal energy called almighty to show me a way

Just like everything, I learnt that failure too is a temporary state of mind

Failure makes us humble and gives us a fresh perception.

It is a kind of depression which makes us appreciative of joy.

What are the times when you have failed yourself?

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
