We all come into this world with the potential and abilities to accomplish our goals and dreams, more than any of us can ever imagine, yet 97% of us are selling ourselves short and settling for a life that is far less than what we are are truly capable of. Why? The problem you don’t see is that you can’t see your potential with your eyes to embrace it and become who you were created to be.
Status quo is a system designed to set you up to stay in the safety of the majority when in reality you are all meant to thrive.
Enough is enough. Today is your day and you’ve got another shot to take.
As an established portrait photographer, I cracked the code on Faith. Faith is believing in the unseen. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe when you can’t see it, right?
You now have the power to create your life the way you picture it to be and come face to face with your potential, bring it into existence by consistently aligning your thoughts and behaviors to make it happen.
Otherwise, find out the 5 prices you’ll pay for selling yourself short.
1. PRICE OF REGRET
The #1 most common regret documented by all those about to die is when they see how many of their dreams have gone unfulfilled due to choices they had made, or not made to settle and fit in. Unless you’re planning on being buried with your dreams, take the first step towards building your dreams, like now.
“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry our their dream.”~Les Brown
FIRST STEP: Create a vision of who you want to be, do or have and do something daily that gets you closer to your goals and dreams.
2. PRICE OF COMPLACENCY
From the moment you are born until adulthood, you are constantly told how to think and are molded on how to “fit in” to be accepted by parents, teachers, and society. You get scolded and reprimanded for every time you stand out, so you shut down your genius and obey the mediocrity that is universally accepted to fit in.
“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”~ Henri Ford
FIRST STEP: Thriving requires the opposite, you must express not repress your creative genius. Go ahead, it’s safe and it’s also about time you stand out.
3. PRICE OF EXPERIENCE
To know the true meaning of life, you must experience it. Life has so many great opportunities for you that you just pass up and miss out for the sake of security and comfort. Experiences and memories are a necessary part of evolution, and without giving yourself permission to say yes to adventure, yes to experience, yes to the unknown, you will stay small and sell yourself short.
The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams. ~Oprah Winfrey
FIRST STEP: Shake things up! The Good Life comes only to those who take chances. Go on an adventure, explore, have fun and do one thing you would not normally do. Like go on vacation by yourself, try a new activity, meet someone new, dine at a new restaurant…you get the picture do something new.
4. PRICE OF HAPPINESS
You are all responsible for our own happiness which means you do not get to blame others for your unhappiness. Every day you decide on what life path you are following with regards, to your personal and business life. It’s your responsibility to make sure that you are living a life according to your vision, and the people you surround yourself with believe in you, encourage you and raise your standards.
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
FIRST STEP: Happiness is a choice. Choose to support your vision at 100 percent.
5. PRICE OF LEGACY
You are the messenger of your gifts. Only you have the power to deliver your unique gifts to the world. When you sell yourself short, it’s not about just you, the world misses out on your gifts. Imagine for a moment if all the greats like Oprah, Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Serena Williams, Richard Branson, Marie Forleo, Tai Lopez or any inspired achiever that you admire didn’t step into their higher level and instead conformed to the comfort and security of society and others expectations.
