Enjoy the taste of this refreshing smoothie along with its many health benefits.  Strawberries have a high amount of vitamin C, which is known to promote a healthy heart. Strawberries also contain folate, which may help lower the risk of depression and reduce the risk of birth defects.  The almond butter balances out the complex carbohydrates coming from the fruit. Almond butter is rich in protein and monounsaturated fat.  While protein is essential for building and repairing tissues, monounsaturated fat (aka “good fat“) may promote healthy cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

A healthy balance of nutrient-dense ingredients like the ones in our smoothie will help to improve your physical and mental well-being. Cheers!

  • 1 c frozen strawberries
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/2 c crushed ice
  • 3/4 c almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon flax meal
