“There’s a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth.”

Maya Angelou

There are booklists, and then there are booklists. It seems that there are countless booklists on entrepreneurship and leadership. The booklists we love? The ones that list the best reads on critical thinking. At Workwell, we’re kind of obsessed with developing our critical thinking skills. Why? Well, if you believe that you (as a person) are a rational decision maker, can spot the truth, know right from wrong, and can’t be influenced by your emotions, think again. What you see, what you read, and, most importantly, what you believe taints every single decision you make – from what you wear to what you watch to how you invest to the beliefs you have about yourself and the world around you. People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
