This was one of the main conclusions of an important study on the topic.

What is the relationship between gratitude and happiness?

Studies pointed out that gratitude helps people to recognize what is good around them. By showing how pleasurable it is to value what you have, it makes grateful individuals less anxious about what they don’t have or what they want to have.

In this sense, being a grateful person is a virtue that also helps us to exercise more positive attitudes, whether in our daily life or in our work, as we cultivate the good humor and patience necessary to maintain healthy and happy relationships.

But, what should we be grateful for?

You have probably found yourself asking that question at some point in your life. Believe me, we all have reasons to be thankful and to be grateful. But, how should we begin to exercise and feel gratitude?

So, come on! Take a paper, a pen and start making a list. Have you ever stopped to think about all the good things you have in your life? Your family, your friends, health, work, a home, your talents, your achievements and achievements. Put on that list everything that is positive and contribute to your happiness. Thus, you will have more than just reasons to thank.

An exercise as simple as the list will help you to recognize the good things that happen to you that are worthy of gratitude. Do this daily and that feeling will begin to surface within you. As time goes by, you will notice the feeling that you have much more than what is necessary to live and thus you will recognize every day a new reason to be grateful.

It is important to say that gratitude is contagious. Start doing this exercise every day and you will soon see that your friends, family and even co-workers will also be infected by the energy that this feeling reverberates.
