Try This Now: Solve a Jigsaw Puzzle to De-stress

They have some amazing brain benefits.

Doing a jigsaw puzzle isn’t just for kids, or for rainy weekend afternoons. It can actually help you find your focus, and reduce your stress levels too.

A study from the National Center for Biotechnology Information has found that the activity can boost brain activity, since it engages both hemispheres of the brain, and it helps people stay off their phones. After all, when you’re focused on where in the world that one piece fits, there’s no brain space left for you to be scrolling through Instagram. Plus, as an activity that can easily be made social, the researchers note that it can be a useful way to reduce feelings of loneliness too.
