Is It Normal to Have Hair on Your Back?

Is it healthy to have hair on your back? Most male and Females are not comfortable with Hair on their back. Hence the reason why everyone needs a Back Hair Remover.

Hair growth in both men and women are the result of a hormone named androgen that is present in our body. Androgens are basically hormones that give rise to masculine features in a human’s body, whether male or female.

Androgens are used for several reasons by our body such as to replace hormone when the body is unable to produce enough, stimulate the beginning of puberty in young boys, to treat certain types of breast cancer in ladies.

One such function or characteristic of the androgen hormone is that they happen to affect the hair follicles in our body. Hair follicles have receptors that have small amounts of protein in them that are able to recognize and bind to androgens.

This action causes the hair follicle to be stimulated to grow hair. When this hormone begins circulating in our body, body hair will begin to grow. Hair growth can be seen first in body parts where androgen is most sensitive such as face, legs, and the pubic region but in time it affects the rest of our body and spreads to our back as well.

Back hair growth differences in both male and female:

Women produce both male and female hormones, but the amount of male hormones produced by women in average are generally low. If the male hormones are produced by a female body in extremity or their body is sensitive to normal levels of male hormones it can cause the growth of unwanted hair in women.

This excess hair tends to be dark and coarse. But it is safe to mention that back hair even in women is not the result of excess male hormone in the female body. Most females do have back hair. It is a perfectly normal phenomenon even though somewhat annoying.

Most men on the other hand are known to have back hair which tends to grow progressively with age. Of course in men too hormones such as the testosterone and androgen are the reason of hair growth in all body parts. In men though, genetics plays a huge factor in the department of hair growth.

Certain genes make men can men more sensitive to the hormones present in their body resulting in excess growth of hair in different body regions such as the back. Genes can also cause back hair to be more coarse and black.

Also, men who intake body-building steroids can usually see a sudden spurt of hair growth, especially in the back. Steroids can cause unwanted coarse black hair to develop in various parts of the body and also result in a receding hairline.

Ways to get rid of your unwanted back hair:

As we have already established body hair with the inclusion of back hair is a perfectly normal or common phenomenon both in men and women. Even though our body hair does serve us in their little helpful ways most of us find them an unnecessary and ugly addition to our body.

If you have a hairy back and you want to get rid of it, the best option would to get a laser treatment or electrolysis. But getting a laser treatment that too of your entire back can be en expensive endeavor.

So the next best option is shaving your back. Now while shaving your limbs, facial hair etc might be a simpler task, removing your back hair may result in some chaos. Follow the steps below to in order to get rid of that unwanted hair you clearly dread.

Acquire professional help:

Women often visit salons to get their body hair waxed since they often wear clothes that expose large portions of their body. Men though shy away from taking professional help. But if your back hair is really bothering you the best and safest way to get them removed is getting waxed from your local salon.

Waxing removes hair from the root giving you a much smoother skin for a far longer period. While you have to shave frequently to keep the stubble down, a back wax will last for as long as six weeks.

· Choose a razor with a lot of blades and make sure the blades are all new and have not acquired rot. Selecting a razor with built in safety features is a good idea.

· Use a shaving cream with exfoliating ingredients to later your back.

· Do not be in a hurry to finish the task. Take your time.
