Number 3 Is Sure To Force You Out Of Your Comfort Zone.

Are you an entrepreneur? Have you ever felt like you’ve been brought to a dead stop?

We’ve all been there, and some of the obstacles in your way are actually easier to eliminate than you may think…

Here are 5 specific actions you can take to start propelling yourself in the right direction.

  1. STOP “Getting Ready to Get Ready”

Most of the entrepreneurs that I know of who have been stuck for the past 3 years are still doing the same thing that they have been doing from the beginning…

PLANNING

Stop planning and start doing. It is easy to distract yourself with social media and making motivational “quote memes” all day, but it produces zero results. Cut out all of the “fluff” and take action on what you already know needs to be done.

2. STOP Saying “Yes” To Every Opportunity

During your lifetime as an entrepreneur, you will have many “new opportunities” thrown at you. The commonalities that I have found throughout the people that fail, is that they willingly and eagerly say “yes” to all of them.

As exciting and tempting as these opportunities may seem or sound, you must have the self control as a business person and a leader to say no. If you spread yourself too thin, you’re useless to the people you’re leading. Decide to become the master of one, instead of the jack of all.

3. STOP Hanging Out In Your Comfort Zone

Ahh… The comfort zone. The place where dreams go to die.

If you haven’t made the conscious decision to leave this dreadful place…

Make the decision right now as you read this, to leave it behind forever.

Here’s why; If you stay here you will fail. The comfort zone can attack you physically and mentally, and if you do not take action, and do what is uncomfortable — you will never be able to move forward. If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to receive what you already have.

I encourage you to just perform that uncomfortable first sales call, or put your face on camera. Don’t worry, you look great!

4. STOP Treating Your Business Like a Hobby

Anybody can hangout at home and pretend to “work” on their laptop while watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones, but this is not where true success lies.

Any entrepreneur that is currently succeeding at a high level is totally obsessed. They don’t spend time in front of the Xbox or scrolling through Netflix looking for the latest and greatest binge series. When I first started as an entrepreneur I forced myself to sell my flat screen and my Playstation regardless of how difficult it was to let it go.

The sooner you decide to “go all in” the faster your newfound results will appear.

5. STOP Trying To Avoid “Selling”

The backbone and foundation of any true success story is being able to sell. Whether it’s the true story known as “The Pursuit of Happiness” (Will Smith 2006) or a panel of “sharks” on the investor series Shark Tank — sales is the motto.

When investors are looking at a business, they are interested in the marketability of a product and if the figurehead of the product or company can actually SELL them on a vision. If you cannot sell, you’re headed for a dead end.

The best of the best have mastered sales in all aspects of their life. Whether it’s the skill of winning over new friends and influencing people, or even myself simply selling to over 10,000 people from stage — sales is the key to winning big as an entrepreneur.

Now that you know the top 5 things not to do, you should be able to identify some of the things that may have been holding you back. Take action in the right ways, and you will begin to move forward!
