Humanity Needs to Come Together – Here’s Why

United we are stronger

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.

What is your strategy in bringing humanity together? Do you await a tragedy to act?  Conflict in society has sparked humanity to unite in so many ways.  But are we becoming the sort of world where bad things can only bring the good out in us?

Here’s some of the ideas to help us unite:

  1. Don’t wait on the noise.  Act from the goodness in your heart and don’t wait on something bad to happen.  Don’t pre-empt your goodness – its always there.  Keep it awake.  We were born to love.
  2. What captivates you to help will drive you.  Find what you’re passionate about in yourself and others, and make the steps to help others.
  3. Human Impulses were created to flow and what we see in the air should be the very reason why we should love one another.  Helping is in our blood.  Sometimes we choose to ignore it.
  4. Don’t ask why – ask what you can do about the given situation.  If someone is in need, don’t assume that your help won’t make a difference – it will.  And who knows, your actions could encourage others to do the same thing.  It has to start somewhere.
  5. Volunteer.  This is a great way to help your community.  Help with food drives, clothes banks and clean up a home for the elderly.
  6. Be Social about what you do to help.  Don’t be afraid to show what you did to make a difference.  You’re doing it to spread the love and not focusing on how many ‘likes’ you get.  There’s a deeper message for readers to take in.

To summarize, we all have our part to make this world a better place.  We are caring and we are loving as the natural human form.  What happens around us and how catastrophes unfold and how we react to them will in the end be the pinnacle of our human form.  Let’s leave a good mark for our children to come.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
