While it may appear like the world as you know it has come to an end, this does not rule out the possibility of a bright and loving future. While it takes time to recover from sorrow, you will regain your sense of self-identity. Meanwhile, there are several things you may do to assist in the healing of your shattered heart.

Allow yourself to have emotions.

After a breakup, it’s common to experience a range of emotions, from grief to rage. If you’re having a particularly strong emotion, let it out—you’ll feel much better as a result. It’s vital to remember, though, that you shouldn’t allow your feelings rule your life. If you’re sad, let yourself to feel it, and then let it go.
