Does you need washer repair? Finding and solving common problems with the clothes washer repair is something that for many can be somewhat complicated, although not difficult to solve if we follow the steps that we explain well, and we take into account that there may be several reasons why our washing machine has stopped working. Here’s how to repair a washing machine step by step

washing machine is basically a large bathtub that is repeatedly filled with water and then drained, rotated to drain the dry clothes, and has a device to agitate the contents, either through a “shaker” located in the middle of the machine. Top loader or a rolling drum on a front loader machine.

In its operation, the washing machine goes through a process of four cycles that each washer performs and which are:  fill, wash, drain, and rotate. Although these functions are quite basic, sometimes one of them can fail, or several or all at the same time, causing us to have a problem with our washing machine and need a repair.

REPAIR A WASHING MACHINE IF IT STOPS BETWEEN CYCLES OR MAKES NOISES

If the washing machine is not working or making noise when it is set to any cycle, it may be that it is not receiving power.

If it stops when it should have continued with the next cycle, it may also be that the machine’s overload protector may have tripped. In this case, you will have to empty the washing machine of water and remove some of the clothes, reduce the load and let the protector reset itself. Then, restart the machine.

To solve the whole problem you must do the following:

  • Make sure the washing machine is plugged in and turned on. If necessary, unplug and plug it back in and press the power button.
  • Also make sure that the washer lid is completely closed.
  • If the receptacle appears dead, check the circuit breaker or fuse it uses.
  • Check the power cord. Unplug the washing machine and check the cable for it to be broken.
  • Open the lid and check that the lid switch and the lid tab that it pushes against are OK. Press and release the switch. If it doesn’t click when you do this, it’s probably broken. Remove the switch, test it, and replace it if necessary.
  • If the washer doesn’t work, the controls may be faulty. Then call an appliance repair specialist.

Tips: To avoid problems with your washing machine, follow good maintenance procedures. Use just the right amount of washing machine detergent and the hardness of the water, making sure the machine is level and not overloading it.

REPAIR A WASHING MACHINE IF IT DOESN’T RINSE PROPERLY

If residue remains on clothes or in the washing machine after a cycle, the problem can have any of several causes. First, make sure you are using the machine correctly, putting the correct amount of soap in the load, not overloading the machine, and so on. Consult the instruction manual for this information. Only an excessively bulky load can cause improper rinsing.

If this just mentioned is not causing the problem, chances are high that the rinse water is not entering the drum or is not draining properly.
