When you write down your goals you allow the vision of your dreams to become a reality. When you tell people about them you are held more accountable. Goals can transform your life in ways you never thought possible.
Create the habits that will enable you to accomplish your goals.
Don’t settle for the lazy choice, the comfortable choice or the choice that doesn’t align with your true morals and values.
Get more specific with your action steps.
Enjoy the process, failure is to be expected. If you are struggling one week just keep going. Consistency is key.
Take time to reflect and celebrate each step towards accomplishing your bigger goal.
Remember why. Why you started, why you need to keep going and think about what life will look like once you have accomplished your goals.
Emulate the people who have similar goals and habits and those who have achieved the goals you have set for yourself.
Find a team, friend, partner to hold you accountable (you are the average of the five people you hang out with).
Remember these are your goals and this is about you. There is flexibility in goal setting.
Lastly, you are always doing better than you think you are.
Tiffany Hoxie moved from a small family owned farm in Upstate New York to Manhattan in her late 20’s. She studied Childhood Education at SUNY Oswego and is passionate about teaching, writing, and self care. She currently works in the financial services industry in Midtown Manhattan and is obtaining her MBA. In her free time, she likes adventuring around New York City, volunteering for New York Cares and traveling to new countries.
She knows that life can be complicated, stressful, messy and full of societal pressures. Because of this she is passionate about educating those around her how to live a more simplistic, minimalist approach to life, without stopping to think what others may think. She hopes to offer insight in understanding life doesn’t need to be as hard as we may make it out to be. We can create the lives that we truly want one step at a time.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
- MARCUS AURELIUS
