Hello and welcome to That Indian Monk’s exclusive series “Mystics of India”, where we share a valuable piece of content to all of you. In this video, Sadhguru answers a question about being judged and the influence of others opinion.

Let’s take a look at what Sadhguru has to say about it:

[Video] How to Overcome The Fear of Being Judged, answer by Sadhguru

Did you see the video? If you haven’t, it will open up your mindset if you are constantly worried about being judged. So, do spare a few moments and take a look over the video.

What do I feel about “Being Judged” and the fear it might bring, in my day-to-day life?

To be honest, there was a time in my life, when I was always seeking opinions from everyone around me. The biggest reason for this was the fear of “what if I do it wrong?” or “what if I couldn’t make it or fail?”.

Instead of giving anything a try, I would seek opinions of others and then end up in misery. I’ve always faced a dilemma in making a decision due to this habit. Therefore, one day I decided to stop seeking opinions and start doing things without worrying about what will happen.

Well, a lot has changed since then. It requires a huge amount of practice though, but I kept backing myself and even when I didn’t get any desired results, I stood on and on, till I make it into my subconscious that doesn’t give a damn about what are ‘they’ or ‘anyone’ around you is going to say. Just do what is needed and the rest will automatically happen.

People will mend themselves, they might gossip about you, but that’s it. There’s nothing else they can do about it. After a few days, you will realize, nobody actually cares and then you would feel better because you didn’t bother about what they had to comment about you and rather invested your time in self-development.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
