A harsh question.

But one I find gets to the heart of the matter quickly.

Do you have 30 years of working life left? Or 20? Or 10?

Are you doing what you should be doing with those precious years?

When I did this for myself, I had a harsh wake up call. It really focuses the mind on what I do and whether it is what I want to do with the time that I have. And that is help people.

I love this saying – “What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.”

So what are you doing today? Are you in the right career? Are you doing something that you absolutely adore? Have you met your full potential?  Do you have a desire to do something more but just haven’t gotten round to it?

If not, why not?
