I’ll be honest: I’m terrible with numbers and had, frankly zero interest in the financial world. Like many others, it was way too scary. Even though I was growing up with my dad, Phil Town, who was known to the rest of the world as a financial guru, I always avoided the financial world.

Now, I know, you are probably thinking “how could someone like me not be interested in investing?” Well, let me explain. It wasn’t until about two and a half years ago when my dad and I started our podcast, InvestED. Words like “compounding”, “stocks”, or “portfolio” flew around our conversation. It wasn’t until then that I FINALLY realized that even though the financial world seemed scary, there are ways to understand the true value of your money. There are ways to outrun inflation slowly destroying my savings. Financial freedom really is achievable.

When I started investing, I discovered the world I was missing out on. In this video, I explain how I got interested in investing and how you can transform your mindset in order to achieve financial freedom.

The #ASKDanielle video series answers questions from viewers about how to achieve financial freedom. As a full-time investor and co-host of the podcast, InvestED, Danielle Town will be your guide as you take your first steps into the financial world. Her book, Invested is an essential handbook about her yearlong journey learning to invest, as taught by her father, investor and bestselling author Phil Town.
