I started producing electronic music in 2009, after listening to some DJs here and there in various clubs.
In 2011, on “VK Minimal Techno Label” I release my first EP, three tracks of tech-minimal, which was the genre in vogue at that time.
Since then I have never stopped, and in these 10 years of career, I have published on the best record labels all over the World:
Spinnin ‘Records, El Row, Freakin909, Trax Records and many others.
What has changed in making music in these 10 years of career?
In my opinion, 10 years ago, music was made for the pleasure of making it. But today everything revolves around business, social media and bla bla bla. Like if you have 500 followers on Instagram, and you send a demo for a label X, the chances that they will tell you “it has only 500 followers, it won’t sell us enough, it’s not for us” are very high. Obviously these things don’t tell you explicitly, they will be limited to a “not for us” (if they ever answer)
Do you remember pleasant episodes in your career as an electronic music producer?
Yes of course, in 2014 in collaboration with Stamen and Camilo Valderrama, we published on Spinnin ‘Records, one of the biggest and most famous label in the world in the field of electronic music, where they published the most famous DJs like Tiesto, David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and many more, the single “Enjoy The Deep“; which is very successful, on Soundcloud it has more than a million plays, and several hundred thousand on youtube, shazam, spotify etc.
Over time we have seen that you have been supported by many DJs, do you have someone who made you more happy than others?
Yes absolutely, one of my favorites will always be Richie Hawtin, who played my pieces several times around the world, I remember “Techno Never Dies (Mario Giordano Remix)” played throughout the “Enter” season in Ibiza in 2014 , in addition to having proposed it in Italy at the Cocoricò, festivals in Belgium and many other places (not counting the dj sets that I have not remedied on the net)
Others famous names on the industry, who played my songs, Solomun, 2 or 3 years before, played my track “area 51” released in my second ep with a South American record label, “Cubek Records”, in various places like the Extreme Outdoor, Cocoon Heroes in Argentina and many other places. Then some other name? We have Hollen, Florian Frings, Marco Lys, Stefano Noferini, Umek, Agent !, and many others to remembers.
For 2 years, Angelo Raguso has paused his career as a music producer, as he started working in the social media field, as a “Social Media Strategist” for various clients such as entrepreneurs, show business, musicians, sportsmen and many others.
But in the musical field, it is to be considered as a small veteran, in almost 10 years of career he has released more than 500 exclusive and original productions, he has collaborated with hundreds of other producers and record companies around the world
