Doing daily activities where you work the body daily has a lot of benefits. One of those benefits is the way you will feel about yourself. Your self-image is very connected to what you’re doing in your life and the thoughts you have. There is scientific evidence that you’ll feel better after you work your body. How you decide to work your body is your own choice. You may not want to go hard every day as you may cause injury.

Incorporating activities like yoga a few times a week into your aerobic and anaerobic activities can help to ensure you don’t get injured. It’s also part of a well-rounded regime to keep you balanced, flexible and makes you look within. If you’re feeling down about yourself, there’s no better way to lift yourself up than sweating it out or stretching it out.

The Body/Mind Connection

When you work out every day in some capacity, you build your body. You also change your mood. When you see things in a positive light, you also see yourself in a new way. This isn’t just a theory, this is scientific. When you work out, you release endorphins that make you feel good. Working out prompts the fight/flight response to ignite. It sends messages to the body and your heart starts to pump faster. The body releases a protein to stop the brain from feeling stress so it can fight or run away. The protein repairs your memory and resets your body’s systems.

Whatever stress you were feeling will transform to a relaxed feeling. This is why you feel so good after a hard workout. The endorphins fight against the stress and your brain releases them when you’re being active. They actually help you block out physical pain when you’re pushing yourself to your limits. If you don’t work out, any of the stress you have in your body just stays there and is not used. This causes a lot of health problems.

You Focus on How You Feel Inside

Regardless of how you look right now, how you feel inside matters just as much. Your self-image is not just about what you see in the mirror. Are you being your best self? Are you trying as hard as you can to do the right things for yourself? Maybe you don’t have the perfect body in your own eyes but as you become fit, this will bring you more confidence. Workout out every day can start with a 30-minute walk or really gentle yoga. As you get stronger, you can start doing kettle-bells or doing hardcore ab exercises.

When you commit to putting in the effort every day, you’ll begin looking at yourself differently. Your body will be healthy and your stress levels will lessen. When you know you’re strong, you are far less prone to beating yourself up.

You Send a Message that You Matter

Every time you commit to working out, you prove that you care about yourself. This will change how you eat and what other activities you enjoy throughout your life. When you don’t like your body and you don’t work out, you may feel really down about yourself. When you do start taking care of yourself, you honour who you are and what you want. When you live in truth and take measures to meet what you want, you feel unstoppable. You also become a friend to yourself instead of being an enemy.

Even if it takes some time to get to the body you want, you’ll start to fall in love with the subtle changes you see. This is because you’ll know you created it because you care about yourself enough. Your relationship with self is really important. Yoga of any kind helps us to look within ourselves, feel our body and where the tension lies. Not only does it help to support your harder workouts, it helps you fall in love with yourself as there’s always moments of reflection within the practice.

CONCLUSION

No matter what you look like and where you’re at in your fitness level, it’s important that you just start. Create a plan if you need to. Start small. There may be some reasoning that you don’t have time. You definitely have time to change your life and feel better about yourself. There is never an excuse to not be your best self. Through practices like yoga, walking, aerobics, high-intensity workouts, and strength training, you can change how you feel about yourself quickly.
