Dave Meltzer on a Gold Medal Mindset!

Dave Meltzer on a Gold Medal Mindset #LivingFearlessly

I cannot believe we are already in the last week of August 2019! Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun! Hope you too, have experienced a relaxing, healthy, and positively, memorable summer!

I am super jazzed to once again, be writing/featuring, someone who is nothing short of remarkable! Last week, I was re-joined by the one and only…Dave Meltzer on the Living Fearlessly with Lisa McDonald global radio/podcast show! As you may recall, it was not that long ago that I had initially interviewed Dave, followed up by my initial Thrive Global Feature Article of him. Why the almost back-to-back coverage of Dave? That is a very easy question for me to answer.

Much has transpired between these two interviews. This is not surprising for those of us who know Dave and who recognize his fierce and ongoing commitment to his own personal growth and personal development. I truly do not know, how he consistently keeps up with himself and all of his many endeavours, clients, projects, and business partnerships. Does Dave even sleep? Yes he does. His daily regimen spans between the hours of 4:00am – 11:00pm. Dave is consistent. Dave is persistent. Dave is accessible. Dave is on-fire!

For people who truly know me, you would know that I am forever maximizing of all my platforms so as to publicly express my appreciation to those who are only ever kind and generous toward me. Dave is one of those said people.

Shortly following our first amazingly synergistic, in the flow, in the zone interview with one another…Dave had privately invited me to attend his ‘Game-Time Decision-Making,’ book launch in Brooklyn, NY on Thursday, July 25th. As if that wasn’t awesome enough…Dave graciously put me on the VIP List for his very special event. What touched me deeply about that – and only after I actually arrived to the event in Brooklyn, did I fully realize, that I was the only person in attendance who was not one of Dave’s immediate family members, business partners, or coaching clients. Everyone else in attendance had already established longstanding history with Dave either personally or professionally. JUST WOW! Another reason on top of many other reasons for why Dave stood out to me as the real deal. A man of character, who truly walks his talk with respect to gratitude. Dave appreciated being a guest on my show, and in spite of his international success, plethora of accolades, or impressive roster of top-tier connections – he wanted to reciprocate by including me in a milestone moment, which was near and dear to his own heart. This type of kind gesture is most certainly rare and unique to my experience of interviewing someone of Dave’s recognized stature. I was beyond touched at the humanistic level. Thank you, Dave!

To add to the awesomeness, as soon as I had entered the restaurant (owned by JZ and opened up by JZ to Dave) and climbed the stairs to the opening of the main floor…Dave, his beautiful wife Julie, and two of his children, were sitting at a table to my immediate right. Dave and I instantly embraced one another with a lovely hug, and then one by one, he introduced me to his family members. Dave then proceeded to ask one of the event staff members to find another corner table to adjoin to his so that I could sit and enjoy a meal with he and his family. JUST WOW! This man is beyond gracious and classy!

I knew then, that Dave had to promptly be re-invited back on to Living Fearlessly with Lisa McDonald so that I could let it be known to the global listeners and the podcast subscribers, and here again on Thrive Global, the depth and the breadth of this man’s character, soul, and generous spirit! To further add to Dave’s awesomeness, knowing that I had brought gifts  from Toronto, Canada (Raptor NBA Championship shirts and individual copies of my own five books) and Gary not being able to attend the book launch, Dave did however, hand-deliver my gifts to Gary the very next day at one of their many scheduled and ongoing business meetings, while also once again encouraging him to appear as a guest on my show, knowing how vigilant I have been for the past four and a half years to make that possibility in fact a reality. I was beyond gobsmacked when Dave shared with me while on the airwaves, what Gary Vee said to him in response to that. (Podcast link enclosed for finding out what Gary Vee said to Dave about appearing as my guest)! You can listen to the full interview here:

There are not enough hours in the day or days in the week for me to rave about the credible merits, and outstanding character traits of Dave Meltzer! People who know me, also know that any and every gesture of kindness bestowed upon me is not something I ever take lightly nor for granted, for I know what it is like to have nothing, to feel like nothing, and to be made to feel as though I am nothing. Thankfully, those days are light-years behind me, however, the memories of once-upon-a-time still remain in the archives of my old DNA blueprint.

Thank you once again, Dave, for all of your meaningful and tireless contributions to humanity as a whole! Not only are you making fundamental differences of epic proportion to the collective, and for the overall benefit of the collective…but for the myriad of ways in which you have made a profound impact on me both personally and professionally…I extend to you my eternal gratitude, Dave! Your are an Uplifter! Your are an encourager! You are an inspirer! You are a beautiful human being! Thank you for growing me! Thank you for expanding me! Thank you for enhancing and enriching the quality of my own experience in this space of what it is we strive to do in our own unique ways, each and every single day! I appreciate you! Keep Shining Our Friend! Much love and gratitude!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
