Happiness. Happiness is an emotional response to something that has happened. It is what we yearn daily to get us through. It is reliant on something. An outcome.
But what if that very outcome we seek, comes, and we don’t really see happiness within it. What if it is disguised as happiness but we saw it from face value. What do you define it as? what is your expectation? Do you have an expectation?
See having an expectation is putting your belief behind it and expect it to deliver. And when it doesn’t deliver, sadness may kick in.
But what if we were open to the outcome, whether it pleased us or not – and we just accepted it for what it was?
What if, even further, we were grateful for the outcome – whatever it was – good or bad. Would it change the definition of happiness? Would it make life easier?
Gratitude. This is something we don’t do much of nowadays and is much needed as a reminder for all. The simple things we give thanks for and these increase abundantly. Which gives us more joy.
So then ask yourself, what will make you happy? What will give you true peace and abundance without ruining your character? How can you define happiness and get to a point in your life where you can say, yes, this is happiness.
Giving your time and energy to something that is healthy and gives you more joy is much more important than doing things that make you work tirelessly for a supposedly happy life.
Don’t struggle. Live.
