As a very self-disciplined person who thrives from maintaining consistency in my daily routines, I am conscientious about adopting healthy, and intuitively sound habits, which supports me in achieving my overall goals. I am a very results-oriented individual, and there is much I endeavour to accomplish in my lifetime. From years of experience of knowing which methods and practices work well for me as compared to some that have not been as equally effective, the one thing that has never failed me nor led me astray, is the daily ritual of implementing the exact formula of good habits, which keeps me focused, centered, and driven. Similar to that of an avid runner who feels ill and off-balance if they do not get in their daily run, I too wind up feeling as though my equilibrium is ‘off’ if I deviate from what I already know works for me in setting the tone for my day, my week, my month, my year.

It is so incredibly easy to feel overwhelmed – to not know where to exactly start each day – which item to tackle first. Knowing this to be true, and in knowing how easy it is to drop the ball, or to inadvertently overlook an important detail, or appointment, or even in remaining committed to focusing on both ones defined short and long term goals – I write everything out each evening for the following day as to what I must remain diligent and dedicated to. Feeling a huge sense of accomplishment can just as easily occur from knowing you are consistently keeping yourself organized and effectively structured with your time management. Doing a little bit each and every day to propel you closer in the direction of achieving that which is most important to you IS what in fact brings about the end-result – the desired outcome – this of course all birthed out of self-discipline – self-discipline birthed out of establishing and maintaining good habits for yourself.

We all know from our own experiences at different times in our lives that when we have fallen off the wagon from choosing to operate at our highest vibrational level – to be the best version of ourselves, when we allow things to go south or allow ourselves to become derailed and unhinged as a result of feeling like we are in a funk or that nothing is going right – we know how quickly that can exponentially snowball and work against us – the mountain to climb appears increasing impossible – too unrealistic – no longer attainable. It is in this energetic space that so many people then cease to continue in ploughing through the heartache, the challenges, the stress, the adversity, the inner turmoil, and the self-defeating thoughts, which only serves to keep people immobilized by fear while drowning in self-doubt. This is the space where dreams can very quickly die, where ones inner-sparkle can begin to dim and even extinguish, altogether, where people can sadly self-sabotage themselves, and where people are left feeling de-spirited. This is why getting exceptionally clear (that in and of itself is a daily habit) is extremely crucial and pivotal, and has to remain a non-negotiable in maintaining the ability to enforce daily habits for yourself, which are only going to serve to further enrich and expand your horizons, and ultimately your journey.
Other daily habits of mine, which serves to keep me on the upwards and on-wards trajectory of my own life no matter how challenged and overwhelmed I regularly am, is to surround myself only with like-minded people such as high-caliber mentors and those who I am immensely grateful to refer to as my TEAM and TRIBE – those who are as equally committed to my vision, and who graciously support me throughout it all – celebrating the highs, while equally helping me to quickly re-calibrate when situations require immediate action-taking. I only align myself with those who also choose to see the solution as opposed to the problem – those who are equally committed to honouring themselves, who also hold themselves accountable at the highest of levels, and all of this being indicative and representative of them equally choosing to incorporate and adhere to establishing good daily habits and choices for themselves. I only ever try to see the win win in every situation and in every opportunity. The more consistent my habits, the healthier my mindset. The healthier my mindset, the sweeter the outcomes and the results. These daily habits of mine repeated day in and day out, allows me to authentically live my life congruent to what I already know,value and respect to be my life purpose. To deviate or falter from this in any counter-intuitive way, is not an option for me. I do not go backwards in life – only forwards, and the only way I know I can positively, healthily, and constructively move forward in my life is to implement and repeat the daily habits, which has already proven to be successful for me.
Before I can ‘Uplift people to fear less and to live more,’ in their lives,I must first continue to do so in my own life. This is my daily pledge and number one habit for myself. As the brilliant Byron Katie says, and often what I cite and refer to, “I Want For You What You Want For You.”
