From making real changes in today's society to inspiring creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship, some of today's lesser known women around the world are making big strides towards change for the better.

Today, we think we know who today's most inspiring and influential women are like Oprah, Beyonce, Megan Markle, Kate Middleton, Melinda Gates, and Sheryl Sandberg; however, what about some of today's emerging influential entrepreneurs, influencers, and humanitarians who are striving to make real changes in today's society?  Do we really know who they are and how they got their start making big changes?

We've scoured the internet and social media to determine who these upcoming leading ladies are and we were fascinated to see who they are and what contributions they are making to their communities and society. 

Ashley Victoria Smith

Ashley Victoria Smith is the Founder and CEO of the emerging fashion show production company DeScalzoShows.com. Ashley has been an advocate of the women's empowerment movement since she started her company and works to showcase some of today's newest and latest female design talent on the runway during Miami Swim Week and New York Fashion Week. She believes strong women follow their own path and passion without question. Every season, she showcases emerging female talent. 

Samantha Giraud

Samantha Giraud is a Former Competitive Ice Skater, Creative Designer, Couturier, and Performance Sportswear Designer of the haute couture brand SamanthaGiraud.com and luxury sportswear brand XamasGlobal.com. She believes that strong women are self-aware and know how to overcome obstacles and challenge the status quo. Through her brightly colored and feminine designs, Sam shows her interpretation of what it means be a female and an entrepreneur today. 

Angela Ficken

Angela Ficken is a psychotherapist and entrepreneur of the emerging wellness platform and brand ProgressWellness.com. She is making strides towards helping today's younger generations manage anxiety and alleviate stress more effectively. As a way to help anyone, anywhere - not just in the greater Boston area - manage stress, Angela created the course Coping with Stress and Anxiety where anyone can learn the stress management and anxiety reduction skills she teaches in her one-to-one counseling sessions for a fraction of the price. 


Melissa Eboli

Melissa Eboli of the ViaMelissa.com and ViasKitchen.com brands is Health Advocate, Private Chef, and Media Personality. She is redefining clean eating by educating others on how to cook nutritious meals without sacrificing taste. As someone who suffers from food allergies, she knows how to create delicious allergen friendly foods that everyone will love.
