Fostering Fearless Thinking!

Are you worthy?

Rather than simply sharing with you what Living Fearlessly means to me and the various examples of why and how I have chosen to embody this throughout my own journey (as reflected in previously written blogs – Spiritually Living Fearlessly) I would like to invite all of you brave and courageous Living Fearlessly Tribe to graciously participate in an exercise with me!

On occasion or perhaps more regularly, you might notice a fearful thought arise, such as “I Am Not Worthy Enough,” or “Who Am I To Believe I Am Deserving of Greatness or Abundance?” or “What If I Fail?” As I am exceptionally clear on my interwoven purpose/passion consisting of ‘Uplifting You To Fear Less and To Live More,’ I encourage you to put your big girl panties or your big boy briefs on and step outside of your comfort zone with me as we experience this adventure together!

1. Choose a bravely courageous thought, which you might believe, such as, “I Am A Warrior,” and ask yourself, Is it true?
We are hardwired to focus on the negative rather than the positive. This is true of thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. Often times our first inclination is to dismiss positive self-affirming thoughts and elect to replace them with what is counter opposite, which is in fact…counter-intuitive. The tendency or the habit or the pattern of dismissing our loving and self-affirming thoughts MUST be broken. Relinquishing ones fear (the old) by embracing our boldness (new) is not only vital to the mind, body, spirit connection…it is also what is necessary to cultivate health and growth. The misconception is believing that the seed does not already reside within each of us, regardless of how deeply buried it may be.

2. Now ask yourself, Is it possible that it’s true? (I Am A Warrior)
This is the gateway window to possibility, in-spite of how small our minds may say it is. Your answer might likely echo back, “Yeah, I suppose there is a possibility I am a warrior.”

3. When you step into that realm of possibility, even for just a brief moment, how does it feel?
It is within this space of introspective query and close examination, you may feel those familiar pangs of fear arising such as the fear of the unknown or the fear of what is uncomfortable. When one is willing to dig deep perhaps even deeper than ever before delved…you may glimpse an unrecognizable ‘self’ you are daring to see. If I am describing what you are sensing, this is a massive opportunity for self-love and self-compassion. Encouraging you in this here and now moment to fear less and to live more by asking yourself: “What would life be like if I stepped into this awareness? BREAKING NEWS: It will never serve you – or the universe – to be the smallest version of yourself!

4. Savour any and all good feelings that arise.
Alternatively, you may experience a wave of emotion, such as confidence, fulfillment or pure joy. Allow yourself to marinate in this space for awhile. When we give ourselves permission to sponge up positivity, it triggers activity within the brain; strengthening our capabilities to recognize them in our future.

Curious to now know…Are You A Warrior?

I recommend challenging yourself with this exercise each and every time you find yourself becoming immobilized by fear. Like everything else…we are apt to lose what we do not use.

Uplifting you to fear less and to live more!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
