Fighting the strange noises

A tribute to my brother who has a beautiful mind and suffers from Schizophrenia #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

I’m always searching in my mind

I’m pursuing people I need to find

It’s sometimes stories and

stupid laughter

Sometimes crazy banter

Within my Grey matter

Fifty shades of grey

Game theories I play

Friends who come but never stay

That damn stranger always makes my day

My sister seems to know him well

She says please don’t give my brother hell!

She fights mocking voices

Who ask “mad or wot?”

I’m here fighting the strange noises

I’m struggling to be or not

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
