Females Uniting-Breaking The Glass Ceiling

My question to all of you is what’s wrong with being smart, beautiful, driven, sexy, gorgeous and successful? How about being “all that”, and spiritual, conscious and mindful as well!

In the rough and tough business world, where thick skin and ability to dance with wolves and swim with sharks is more of an asset than an MBA, it’s easy for women to start playing and thinking just like men do. Somehow we think this is the key to breaking that ever-present Glass Ceiling.

But what if we could succeed in business without morphing into the testosterone filled doppelgänger version of ourselves, and instead, shatter that Glass Ceiling with the energy of Xena, Warrior Princess, all the while succeeding and winning like a Gracious Goddess within us all.

There are an unlimited amount of careers for women. Women Entrepreneurship has been on a steep steady incline worldwide for quite some time. Women now outnumber men in global university attendance and graduation rates. We women are multi-taskers by nature and we are able to intrinsically think outside of the box. We bring unique and special feminine qualities to the business world, such as Intuition, Empathy and Emotional Intelligence.

There has been a rise of women enrolled full-time in the nation’s top business schools. Forty percent, (40%) of MBA students at Harvard, Wharton, Yale, Northwestern’s Kellogg, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, MIT’s Sloan, Rochester’s Simon and Stanford, as well as other schools are women, according to a study by the Forte Foundation, which promotes business education for women.

The increase has already changed the nature of a business school education. Women are influencing the debate over work flexibility and pay discrimination, and men are generally becoming more attuned to what women are looking for in the workplace.

In a report called, “The State of Women-Owned Businesses, 2016”, prepared by American Express OPEN by Womenable, they state, “As of 2016, it is estimated that there are now 11.3 million (11,313,900) women-owned businesses in the United States, employing nearly 9 million people (8,976,100) and generating over $1.6 trillion ($1,622,763,800,000) in revenues. Between 2007 and 2016, the number of women-owned firms increased by 45%, compared to just a 9% increase among all businesses”

Therefore, over the past nine years, the number of women-owned firms has grown at a rate five times faster than the national average.
