Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway

One way to step fully into your personal power is to act even when you are feeling afraid.

As a career coach, I have done quite a bit of research on the mindset and behaviors of high-achieving entrepreneurs. One thing that has been proven time and time again is the difference in mindset between under-achievers and high-achievers.

Under-achievers often don’t take home the pay they deserve. They also do not generally have wild success in entrepreneurial ventures. There is one huge reason for this.

IN A WORD, THE REASON IS FEAR.

Some things you may avoid because of fear or discomfort include:

  • Asking for a raise
  • Buying a new piece of equipment for your company
  • Expanding your business into a new population or venue
  • Creating a new marketing tool
  • Learning a new skill

Anything that has the potential to improve your business or money making potential is likely to bring up a little fear or discomfort.

Those who plan to act once they overcome their fear are the ones who find themselves in the underachiever category.

This is because fear does not just go away.

High achievers are fully aware of this fact.

HIGH ACHIEVERS DO NOT EXPECT THE FEAR TO GO AWAY.

They take action in spite of the fear because they have accepted that it is part of the process.

If you are ready for a money breakthrough in your business or career, it’s time to start acting above your fear.

MY BEST ADVICE IS TO GET COMFORTABLE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE.

It is natural to feel some fear and anxiety when you are venturing into new territory. If you are destined to become a high-achieving executive or entrepreneur, fear must become your friend.

The good news is, it does get easier!

So, link arms with your new friend, fear, and carry on. You will be glad you did!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
