There is a definitive difference between the East and West coasts of Corfu Island. No better or worse, but experientially diverse. On the East coast the sun rises of course whereas on the West coast one catches the setting sun. The great thing about Corfu is that the island’s size allows you to experience both in the same day.

The east coast of Corfu looks out onto the eastern coast of mainland Greece across the Ionian Sea. The rolling mountain ranges in the distance catch the light hues of the setting sun but also provide a stunning backdrop for those keen enough to catch the early morning rising sun or those lucky enough to catch the rising full moon of a summer month.

The east coast beaches are many and varied and tend to be smaller and with more individual character than their western counterparts. More sheltered and easily accessed holiday resorts have developed around most eastern shores. There is a calmer more settled tone to this side of Corfu Island that makes it an ideal holiday destination for those seeking a relaxed environment with easy access to restaurants, cafes and general resort facilities.

Moraitika is one of the most popular summer resorts of Corfu Island. Only 19 Km away from the old Corfu town center, Moraitika has grown over the last years into the ideal holiday summer resort. It is close to some of the best fish restaurants on the island as well as offering some better quality resort shops, medical facilities and the like. It is a great place to stay for those travelers who wish to explore and enjoy the rustic beauty of the southern part of the island as well as being accessibly close to locations of natural beauty.

There are many hotels to choose from in this area as well as apartments, studio flats and top of the range private villas. Nasos and Daisy Hotel is a well-established Bed and Breakfast Hotel, which combines the professional services of a Hotel with the independence and privacy of studio and apartment style accommodation. Nasos and Daisy Hotel was designed to meet all international standards and to satisfy the needs and expectations of a summer holiday visitor to Corfu Island.

It is an ideal place to stay for solitary travellers, a group of friends and families alike. The long experience of the owners in hospitality services and the warm and friendly environment of the hotel provide each guest with high standard accommodation at excellent and affordable prices for the whole summer season.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
