Every Woman Should W.O.R.K.

Here is why every woman is wired to work and why she should.

I’ve been a fairly balanced mix of working full time, running several businesses and being a work-from-home mom and I have come to the conclusion that every woman needs to W.O.R.K.

Women have a natural inclination to create, multiply, nurture and tend to things. So, denying a woman or a having a woman deny herself that pleasure to express herself in that light is something that should never happen to anyone.

By Work I mean anything that gives a woman the opportunity to fully express her full passion.

You see, I am of the opinion that no woman should be made to feel guilty about her choice to work full time, work part time, work from home, stay at home… your choice is something you should embrace and never have to apologize for. This is why I have defined work as anything you choose to do, but you must be doing something. The choice of what is up to you.

I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint — and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.” – Oprah Winfrey

Have you found that you feel a sense of discontentment and dissatisfaction when you feel as if you are not able to express yourself as you really should? Think about it for a bit. Do you often find yourself a little angry that you have so much potential, but are not willing or able to explore those?

That is that little desire to W.OR.K. rearing its head there.

And of course, there is always something you can do, no matter your situation. Every woman should ensure that she is able to find an outlet for the expression of the passion that fills your heart.

I shared a few weeks ago about the fact that Cardiovascular diseases accounted for the highest cause of death among housewives in a research I had carried out some years ago. This issue of work is definitely a major factor for that. According to this article by wisestep.com, women who work are less likely to suffer from stress and depression than their non-working counterparts.

The issue here is not what kind of work, but for every woman to find what she loves, what she is passionate about and ensure that she pursues those things that will give her room for self-expression.

No woman should be denied an opportunity to fully express herself in the way she truly desires to.

Do you agree that women should work? I will love to hear your thoughts
