Entrepreneur Mindset

A is for…

Are you looking to embark a new journey of entrepreneurship?  What does it take to succeed?

Besides the importance of having the best business idea to begin this journey, capital, knowledge and resource, the most important aspect is Mindset.

So why Mindset?  Is that really that important?

I have looked at many prominent entrepreneurs and noticed one very common aspect, they all possess that mindset of being Authentic.

So how is being authentic an important entrepreneur mindset?

Entrepreneurs are basically leaders. Those who start out their entrepreneurship journey is likely inspired by a vision or an idea. With their leadership, that is how they materialize the vision or the idea.

Being authentic is one of the most important attribute for entrepreneurs to remain true to their own beliefs, personality, ethics and even values.

So, why is being authentic an important mindset for entrepreneurs?

Just think about all the people you have met in your life, I am sure you have that innate ability to sift out people who are more real and true from those merely just putting a front and in other words, acting. It is almost like a human survival instinct to know who’s a friend or foe.

Putting that same analogy for an entrepreneur, I think you can kind of figure out how being authentic can be a real virtue where people can connect with you on a more genuine level.

Being authentic can actually position yourself as a niche or a brand, and only you can be the best version of you. No competition!

Well, you can never please everyone or pursue your vision that everyone agrees with. But by being authentic and true to your belief and vision, it naturally exudes the passion that you are working towards.

Eventually, those around you who see it, sense it and if they agree with your vision, they will definitely be more willing to work with you because they know you are for real.

And all that can be real powerful in connecting with the right people, establishing a better network.

I had no idea that being your authentic self could make me as rich as I’ve become. If I had, I’d have done it a lot earlier. ~ Oprah Winfrey

This actually brings us to the next entrepreneur mindset on why great and successful entrepreneurs are not afraid to be different from the rest.

They have the mindset of Abundance. They know there is no lacking of people wanting their products or service. They pursue passionately what they set out to do and they know if it brings about better value to people, the customers will come.

And for this week, let’s have a mindset reboot -> be Authentic and have an Abundance mindset!

It’s a little more soul searching and find the real you…be authentic and be proud of it!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
