Technology is improving every year. It seems like there’s some new technological advancement happening every time we turn around! The progress can be baffling. But there’s good news. Tech isn’t just invading your pockets and your wrist watches. It’s also advancing how we learn. Keep an eye out for these education tech trends in 2019.

1. Augmented Reality

Augmented reality superimposes computer-generated images onto the real world. If Pokemon Go’s success is any indication, this technology has boundless potential. Expect to see it used in classrooms more as education professionals look to make learning more interactive and interesting.

2. Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is the next step in immersive tech. As prices continue to drop and we begin perfecting this technology, we could start seeing the education sector adopting it. Imagine kids being able to go on incredible field trips without having to leave the safety of the classroom!

3. Gamification

Applying game mechanics onto education systems is a great way to get learners more engaged in the material. In inspires participation and engagement. It also makes the learning experience more fun, which translates to a deeper and more intuitive understanding of subject matter.

4. Offline Solutions

It’s a hard truth that almost half of the planet is still living without an Internet connection. That’s incredibly unfortunate, because it means that all those people are missing out on the potential in education technology. Companies are working to provide offline learning solutions to those less fortunate and they’re connecting impoverished students to education more each day. Expect to see this trend really rise in 2019.

5. STEAM

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) is a holistic approach to education that encourages learners to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary projects, to share creative passions and ideas, and to empower innovation in these fields. Government- and privately-funded initiatives are popping up all the time to push STEAM into the mainstream. This initiative is going to go viral in 2019.

There you have it! Watch these five categories of education technology really take off in 2019. The more we can push innovation in the classrooms, the more of a chance we give our future. Education is everything. With luck and support, these five technological advancements will pave the way for a new generation of smarter, more consciousness students.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
