About his life

Dillon Witt was born in Rockford, Illinois. He is famous for his song “Enemy”. He is son of two musicians. His father, Doug Witt, is a recognized guitarist, guitar salesman and former rock band lead guitarist, and his mother is a prominent lawyer who serves on the Board of Directors for a local Arts Center and sings in choir. Witts’ maternal grandfather was a remarkable agricultural president. Witt began playing guitar at age nine, piano at age nine and drums at eleven years old. Witt has an older sister, Madeleine, a younger sister, Fran, and an older half step sister, Whitney. During the summer of 2005, his parents got a divorce and he moved from Rock City, Illinois to Rockford, Illinois. Dillon’s interest and love for hip hop music peaked when moving to Rockford, Illinois.

Beginnings

Growing up as a child all throughout elementary school to high school and beyond D-Witt was bullied very severely. From having his entire class laugh at him to be punched, mocked and ridiculed, Witt was scarred with trauma. Witt attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Rockford, Illinois. Witt claimed he used to hop on Xbox and freestyle for people. With four of his high school friends, he formed a rap group in 2012. Also that year, Witt started his Twitter account started gaining fans called “Witties” and eventually Witt became a YouTube personality. As more and more fans grew, Witt was encouraged/influenced by his fans to change paths and get into music. In year 2014, Dillon kicked off the New Year as being a solo independent R&B artist. Witt released a single on iTunes which later he removed as he was severely bullied. Afterwards, Witt remarked it was beyond terrible and promised better music.

Career:

Witt has born into music birthed by his parents who are two musicians. As his father was a lead guitarist, he quickly caught on and learned rhythm (no surprise). Witt begun rapping in middle school and uploaded his first YouTube rap video which was extremely loved by people.

After Graduation

After graduating high school in late 2014, D-Witt joined a music group and later left to progress forward independently. Witt attended SXSW in 2016 where his love for music grew further. D-Witt has worked with Chicago famous artist, Supa Bwe. In 2015, D-Witt dropped his hit song “Enemy” on SoundCloud which now has over one million plays.
