Unexpected Inspiration happened at unexpected places…

I was struck by this Unexpected Inspiration from two different personalities from different walks of life. But both of them have one common thing is that they turned their ideas into reality. People who followed the passion and Zen Philosophy in life.

I never thought that I will be inspired by someone’s traits and habits, business acumen and entrepreneur skills. This is unexpected for me. I was inspired by their smallest act as well as grandest act. I observed them very carefully and borrowed their smallest act. Both are unique in themselves. One is the dearest friend of mine, who came into my life when I least expected of someone this good to me and we have an unexpected friendship journey. And others unexpectedly from nowhere inspired me to live Zen Life which changed the way I look everything. We can’t really control the things that inspire us. What we can control is how much we want to do with that inspiration.

On an October Sunny afternoon 2014, I received this call from the institute where I had inquired about some course in 2013. The call was unexpected because I did not expect them to call me back as I had said no to them previously for the course. It was also unexpected because I had a 1-hour call with someone I don’t know properly and have not seen and sharing my thoughts and plans. I did not know why?

I was so impressed with his great listening skills and inspired as well. As I believe that without listening ability, messages are easily misunderstood. They are the building blocks of success. Whenever, we get time to meet, he listens to me so carefully, this is the reason he understands me and my passion for writing so well. Yes, he is someone who inspired me to write or I would say he let that fire in me for writing alive. I remember when I shared my thoughts on writing to him. He said- ” You might not get the results that you expect in the beginning, but don’t get disheartened or demotivated. it has happened with all and you need to continue with your passion. LET THAT FLAME BE BURNING…”

This line of his, inspired me like anything till today and will always be to work and follow my passion. I wonder from he got his inspiration. He followed his passion and reached at such a great height. And this flame for writing was burning inside me. I started with Journal writing, I used to write reflective writing about my work and life… This Inspiration helped me to believe in my own abilities, high self-esteem. A more of awakening moment for me to follow what I always wanted to. I always believe that we are on this earth with some purpose to fulfill and I experienced that purpose in life and gratitude. I love being around people, help them. I did mentoring to students when in UK.  I came to know that I love contributing to people what I have learned till now.

His one more line which is at another level of Inspiration- ” If you want to accomplish / achieve anything in life, you got to   smartly work hard for it. & you need to BELIEVE that you can actually do it! ” trust me, you will actually see yourself in no time overcoming your fears and hurdles…..

Seriously, I have overcome many fears and hurdles in life. He was not there with me physically but his thoughts and inspiration kept me moving in. There was this person who inspired and believed that I can write and need a bit of improvement. He also said that one should enjoy writing and that’s what I really do.

he manages his time so well that he always takes time out to meet up. Another Inspiring thing which I really love it. Inspiration journey continues.

Want to quote a line of Psychologists Todd M. Thrash and Andrew J. Elliot“The heights of human motivation spring from the beauty and goodness that precede us and awaken us to better possibilities.”

As individual need food to survive, besides that I need a good Business Magazine or any good Book for my brain to work on. It’s brain food for me.  I came across an article in Forbes India Magazine about an Internet Entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Hike Messenger– Kavin Bharti Mittal. He is the son of Sunil Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom company with a user base of over 350 million.

This article forced me to stop by at that page. I had read so many business magazines and come across with so many articles of entrepreneurs and other industrialists. But No one has ever inspired or touched me as this man did. Read everything about him.

I was totally lost in his journey of entrepreneurship. His inspiration connected me to be in a state of being more excited, productive and be purposeful. He is like a driving force for me at every step. It made me changed the way I was working in life. My thought process was slowly and steadily getting cleared.   In his article not only in Forbes, he mentioned Zen philosophy which I heard of but never practised or read about. I made notes of all the important points which I can borrow from him. His habits which I adopted in my daily life is meditation, exercise. I don’t go to the gym but yes, I do yoga and I love cycling. One should have a healthy mind and body, realized this through meditation practices. That helped me to live life present moment. There is no life in past and future, life is right at the moment. We should not worry about those things which are out of control zone. I also realized that life is like a see-saw game, we will see some ups and downs. As they say- after every dark night there is a bright sunny morning which gives hope to do something better.

He talked about this book in his article- Zen Mind Beginner’s Mind. That completely changed my perspective towards the world. Till now I was seeing this world through a different lens altogether. It impacted majorly and today it works like a bible to me. He rightly mentioned in his one of the interview that – “the world around you is simply an illusion of your mind, it’s a very, very powerful thing”.  This inspiring introduction of Zen Philosophy helped me in understanding that we should match our needs and wants with what is in our control. And you can’t always be getting what you want in life. There is a reason for not having that. Be grateful for what you have. Whatever happens, happens for a reason.

He perfectly mentioned this line- “You’re born original don’t die a copy”. I Love this and totally agree with him. I don’t want to copy him but borrowed. I am really inspired by him. I will never die as a copy as I am one piece of originality.

Inspiration added colours in life and I did not end up chasing them but borrowed those inspiring things which helped me mentally and emotionally. This inspiration helped me in trying new things in life and bought best in me as a person.
