FACE YOUR GIANTS.

3 steps to win the fight against yourself.

Anyone familiar with the story of David and Goliath?

The story goes like this.

Goliath, a Philistine giant challenged the Israelites to fight.

David, a young shepherd boy at the time accepted the challenge. He showed up dressed in his simple tunic, carrying his shepherd’s staff, sling, and a pouch full of stones.

Goliath measuring over nine feet tall showed up wearing full armor carrying his sword, spear, and javelin.

To the human eye, David’s life looked like it was over. All bets were on Goliath winning but fearless David took him down with his simple sling shot.

What was perceived as impossible became possible.

What’s that got to do with me, you ask?

It came to me that not all giants are made of flesh and blood. They come in other forms. Fears. Anxiety. Doubts. Addictions. Temptations. Anything that we think and perceive that are bigger than us, more powerful than us, that we magnify, give into and let it beat us down.

These are the real giants in your life responsible for giving up on your goals and dreams because you’ve come to believe that winning is impossible.

However, when you surrender on becoming who you were created to be, you’re giving up more than just the fight. You’re accepting defeat as a lifestyle. You forfeit any hope of growth and breaking free.

Can you really choose to live your life that way?

For those of you who are ready to give your life one more shot and face your giants, here’s how you can put things back into proper perspective, see more clearly, and win the fight.

SEE DIFFERENTLY

The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.- Helen Keller

The key difference isn’t what David saw; it’s how he saw it.

How do you see yourself? As a champion or defeated? Rich or poor? Successful or failure? Weak or strong? Anxious or relaxed?

Changing your perception of how you see yourself will be the catalyst in creating a change and becoming the person you truly desire. Create a vision portrait of a newly conceived self. One that is aligned with who you’re becoming, not who you are right now. Once you picture your newly conceived self, continue to hold onto the vision, daily.

Soon enough, the day will come when you become to be in reality that person.

BELIEVE

“Your constant affirmations until belief in your goal becomes a vital part of you and you feel it in your blood, your bones, and in every tissue of your body.” ― Claude M. Bristol, The Magic of Believing

You were created to thrive, not struggle. With a new found vision comes new direction, new habits, new standards and new beliefs. Keep in mind that all your giants were developed as a result of your past experiences, they came from what you were taught, what you saw and what you heard regularly. Be willing to follow a new path and put in the time and the effort necessary to create new beliefs and habits that lead you courageously to victory.

REPEAT,REPEAT, REPEAT…

It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen. Muhammad Ali

When you’re taking on new habits one of fearlessness, conviction, belief, your modus operandi is repetition. The repetition of seeing your vision daily. The repetition of affirmations like “Do it now”, “Everything is possible’” and so on. The repetition of taking daily actions aligned with your vision will shift you in a new direction towards making the impossible possible and creating a deep seeded conviction.

Remember, the battle is no longer on the outside but one within you. Seize the moment to act NOW and face your giants that are standing between you and your dreams. Sure, they’re intimidating, overwhelming, and quite persistent sometimes but they’re far from invincible.

I challenge you to beat’em and create your life the way you picture it to be. Give your dreams a shot to touch someone’s heart, to light up that spark, to leave your mark in this world by your unique contribution.

What are you waiting for?

Go drive them out.

NOW.

See you at the Top.
