Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?
Andrew Liveris: I exercise most days. 

TG: What gives you energy?
AL: People. Everywhere. All the time. Doing things to help. Being a giver. Striving to do the right thing by people, always.

TG: What’s your secret life hack?
AL: I recharge by being an avid drawer- I design , draw and produce all my family’s birthday cards – have done so all their lives.

TG: Name a book that changed your life.
AL: The Encyclopedia Brittainica.

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?
AL: It’s always with me except when I go to bed.

TG: How do you deal with email?
AL: Fast . Zero in the inbox is a daily goal.

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?
AL: Go for a walk.

TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
AL: 2008/2009 financial crisis . Worked 20/7 for three straight months
